eSmart Schools Newsletter - Term 4 

Welcome to the last eSmart newsletter for 2018. Across Australia there are currently more than 2,300 schools nationally engaged and seeing the benefits of eSmart Schools Framework implementation.

Wherever your school is on the eSmart journey, our team of expert advisors can provide guidance and ideas to support you in achieving eSmart status. Arrange a phone check-in or an online meeting at any stage in your journey, or a face to face meetings at your school. Email us at to book.

As we know many roles change and it's important that your eSmart Coordinator’s details are current. If the position has been handed over, please provide us the new contact details so you don’t miss out on any correspondence from us.

Share your knowledge
Since 2011 schools have used the eSmart Framework and its resources to support the prevention of bullying and cyber bullying. There are many ways to promote positive awareness and online safety, and schools continue to work hard by engaging the whole school community and encouraging the student voice.

With your consent we would love to promote the ideas you have implemented as part of your eSmart journey with other registered eSmart schools and through this newsletter.

What's been happening in the cyber world lately?

Tougher laws to combat image-based abuse

The YeS Project 
The YeS Project is a new digital and social health program encouraging young people to act as positive leaders and supportive friends in all their social spaces, especially online.

Safer Internet Day
Next year's Safer Internet Day celebrations will take place on Tuesday, 5 February 2019.The campaign's slogan, "Together for a better internet", is a call to action for all all of us to join together and help create a better internet.
